Thoughts on Seasons

Jun 20

TheSeasons “Weekend Experience” * might just change your life.

(*Our hope is for it to be…an intimate gathering vs. a conference; a participatory engagement vs. a spectator event; a small scale sabbatical vs. an activity-fueled showcase)

We know it may not be what you think you should do with that weekend or even what you have already planned to do with that weekend, but we think

it might be just what you need.

It is what we need.

A weekend of rest, of relaxation, of purpose and of priority.

A vacation in every sense of the word (my fave is #3)…

1. a period of suspension of work, study, or other activity, usually used for rest, recreation, or travel; recess or holiday
2. a part of the year, regularly set aside, when normal activities are suspended
3. freedom or release from duty, business, or activity
4. an act or instance of vacating

Because we all have many of these.  And sometimes these.  And perhaps even these.

But we believe in a God who is bigger and better and stronger than all our bad Mondays and worst Fridays–the One who leads every season into the next, all in the most perfect timing.

We serve a God who gets it and who gets us.

(More details later…)
